Welcome to the Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church. Since 1839, it has been our desire to let God make His loving appeal through our church life and ministries.
Take time to discover the diversity of our church’s outreach. Whether in worship, Bible studies, choirs, missions, children’s programs or our weekly Food Pantry we want to share in joy, God’s amazing love.

History of Haynie Chapel
For over 169 years we have been serving God in Garfield, Texas located in southeastern Travis County. We have a long history, our Church originated about 1839 when Samuel G. Haynie moved to the area, and John Haynie established a Methodist Church. The congregation has survived over 169 years, with strong family ties to the church and community. We are also a Church focused on the future, excited about what God continues to do in this place!
